Thank you, Jean!

It's actually Santes Dwynwen's Day today - she's the Welsh patron saint of lovers but I haven't seen any cards around. Maybe something to bear in mind for next year?

Reminds of the sweetness of childhood when storybook pictures brought us so much joy and comfort.

Hi Betsy - I think you've pinpointed something important with your comment. Thank you!I wonder how many of us turned to the world of storybooks and their illustrations when real life as a child was not much fun? I certainly did and it may explain why I'm so drawn to the work of children's book illustrators!

Dear Judy,
Thank you for sharing your wonderful cards. Your traditional style is so attractive. I'm certain you will certainly illustrate kids picture books beautifully! Congrats on the 13 January for your blog anniversary. Great honor for my blog listed on your reading list. Please keep up!!
Kind regards, Sadami

Hi Sadami - thank you for your very kind and encouraging comments :)

I really enjoy your inspiring blog, seeing the way you work and benefiting from your generosity in sharing your methods and techniques with the world! And I love your sketches of children in particular. (Makes me wish there were more children around me to sketch!)

Many thanks for stopping by!
